Mini Allbum and Paper Doll Swaps

Hi everyone! Super busy here between working and trying to keep up with daily happenings. I have had some late nights at work so that has kept me from keeping up with LOAD. However, I plan to jump back on the bandwagon this week. I also will be working a bit backwards to get the days I missed caught up. I love the inspiration I have got from being a part of the LOAD challenge. Meantime, I joined a couple of swaps a while back and decided to work on those this weekend. The first swap was a challenge to use recycled junk around the house and make a mini album out of it. Well, I decided to make a couple of these mini albums since I just adore these little guys! My first album I created using matchbooks. I removed the matches and cut K&Company specialty papers. The pages inside are loose so that they can be decorated by the receiver with pictures or journaling notes. I wrapped a ribbon around the book to hold it together and placed a butterfly bling on the front. I also added the twisted ribbon on the front to give it some contrast.

For my second project making a mini album using recycled junk, I chose to use toilet paper rolls. I covered them in designer paper and created tags to slip inside them. I decorated them with flowers, brads, and some bling. When completed I bound them together using my Bind It All machine. I was really pleased with how cute these came out. The paper I used is by DCWV and is called the Green Stack. Very appropriate for this project.

Finally, I participated in a swap several weeks ago to exchange paper dolls. Below is a picture of the beautiful dolls that I received. I can't wait to use these in a project. Not sure if I am going to put them in a frame or book yet. Any ideas?
